Aishwarya Rai to divorce Abishek Bachan ???

Aish, the symbol for beauty has openly in public declared her interest to separate from Abishek Bachan.

Aish, who is in her 35, never had any plan to marry any male and was repeatedly saying before her marriage with Bachan that she want to continue her life as single dating a male of her choice.

But Bachan family gave her lots of pressure through financial and political means and managed to marry Abishek.

Even though Abishek - Aish pair used to give away a big smile to the public as a pair, Aish was keeping away from Abishek in their bed room and hence even after two years of married life and at the age of 35 + years she never had any plan to be pregnant.

Since it is a contagious disease that can transmit to other people, Ash has reportedly been keeping more to herself, even in the Bachchan household.

Reports have it that Ash has got best medical advice and has been taking medication for many days. Now, thankfully, she has almost recovered from the disease.

According to industry sources, the actress was very well looked after by the Bachchan family that took precautions but never fully quarantined Ash because of the contagious nature of her disease.

Meanwhile, Ash’s status in Michael Douglas’s film Racing the Monsoon is still not clear. Even though the buzz is that she has been dropped, some reports say she is still part of the film but won’t play the lead role opposite Douglas.

Ash’s next movie commitment would be Shankar’s film Robot.

Anil Ambani’s Reliance signs up Bachchans for Rs 1500 crore ???

Days after reports of the Anil Ambani’s firm planning to infuse about $600 million into Hollywood bigwig Steven Spielberg’s DreamWorks, comes the news of a mega deal with the Bachchans!

Industry sources said the deal could be worth Rs 1,000-1,500 crore and would include film production, television series, reality shows, internet and mobile content besides live shows.

Reliance Big Entertainment will look into the managerial, marketing and distribution of the projects in the deal, while the creative inputs would come from the Bachchans.

Some of the directors who have been signed up to direct films for the joint venture are Cheeni Kum director R Balakrishnan, Sujoy Ghosh, Rohan Sippy and Dr Chandraprakash Dwivedi.

A source from Reliance Adlabs said that more directors would soon be signed up for the joint venture.

Confirming the news, a spokesperson for RBE said, “We are proud of the association with the Bachchan family. We are confident that the creative genius of the Bachchans and the business acumen of Reliance will create magic and take entertainment to a different level. The joint venture and our strategy to tie up with Indian and international creative talent will help the company build a new-age global entertainment conglomerate.”

Amitabh Bachchan’s company AB Corp will facilitate the execution of the joint venture projects.

Speaking to the media, Amitabh Bachchan said, “We will provide the creative inputs and also share the profits. As of now, we plan to start with film projects and work in a way that will benefit us mutually. Also, they have given us the liberty to work outside and there is an unwritten understanding that we have the first right of refusal.”

Hrithik Roshan is back to work ???

Hrithik Roshan gets to back to work on July 15th when he will fly to New Mexico to shoot for Kites. Kangana Ranaut and Mexican hottie Barbara Moris are his co-stars in the film directed by Anurag Kashyap.Says a source, “His second son Hridhaan was born on June 1 so he wanted to spend time with his family due to which he skipped all award functions that were held abroad and refused work that kept him away from home for long periods of time but now he is ready.”

On the shooting schedule, the source reveals, “Hrithik, his father Rakesh and Anurag Kashyap will fly to New Mexico in mid-July to personally oversee the building of the sets. The shooting will start on the 25th. Kites will be shot across New Mexico, Los Angeles, Arizona and Las Vegas.”

Further, Hrithik’s manager informs us, “Kites has a 3 month long schedule in the States and another 2 month long schedule in Mumbai will complete the film. Hrithik is not doing anything after that.”

Director Anurag Basu is obviously excited about his high flying venture but remains tight lipped about the plot and the reason behind the film’s title. “Kites have a poetic and chronological significance in the movie is all that I can say. Once you see the promo, you will understand the reason behind the title,” says Basu.

Reports claim that the movie is inspired by Woody Allen’s adulterous drama Match Point. Hrithik’s character is like a kite which keeps wandering but always flies high. He has a mistress and a wife portrayed by Kangana and Barbara respectively.

Mr. Basu has also rubbished reports that Hrithik will speak in an American accent in Kites. He clarifies, “Hrithik is not learning to speak in the American accent for Kites. Even the actresses are not learning anything special or new to prepare for the role. They are holidaying and relaxing before filming begins in July end.”

This year, Hrithik wooed audiences with his portrayal of Emperor Akbar in the love saga Jodhaa Akbar; he showed off his super smooth dance moves in the Krazzy 4 video and performed some dangerous stunts in a few commercials. He also shot for his guest appearance in Zoya Akthar’s Luck By Chance in Mumbai.

With Saif giving Thoda Pyaar, Rani giving Thoda Magic, what Thoda will you be throwing in the film?
I will be throwing a bit of Pyaar and Magic both because you need someone to handle both the things pretty well.

How was your first ever experience of working with Yash Raj Films?
Wow! Can you believe it! My first with Yash Raj Films. I was on cloud nine when I got a call to work for this film. I was also excited to work with Kunal Kohli for the first time, Saif too and Rani, with whom I have worked in Mangal Pandey. But more than anything else, it was my role which impressed me the most because it was a challenging and a qualitative role. It's a character which the audiences will least expect me to play. Can't tell you much though because we all know how Yash Raj works.

Are you paired opposite Saif in the film because an angel like Rani cannot fall in love?
I cannot tell you that. You will have to see the film to find out your answer.

What about the promos? Is it a deliberate attempt not to be showing you in the promos of TPTM for couple of weeks?
Well, the much of me starts today in the promos and by the time you submit your interview, it will already be viewed by millions on the television. But yes, we had kept my clippings nearing the release for the simple reason that the less exposure my character (Mallaika) gets, the better for the film, because I am the surprise package of the film and the team did not want the charm to fade away. But I'm sure the curiosity factor will always remain to see why Ameesha isn't shown in the promos. Don't worry fans...now she is.

The music of the film suffered quite a bit because of the IPL matches. And even after that, it isn't performing as per the expectations. Any idea why?
I don't know what information you have but the first two days of the release of the music of TPTM, it was sold out. I personally love the music of the film and there is a special reason for it too. I loved the song I shot under water in the film called 'Lazy Lamhe'. It's a fabulous song for which I had to learn scuba diving lessons. It's the first song in the history of Indian cinema to be lip synced under water and it was very difficult to sing too. It took fifteen days for that song to be finished. So it was like an achievement for us. I bet people are going to love it when they see it.

We have seen your association with kids right from your first film. How was the experience with them now in TPTM?
You are right, I did interact with kids in Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai, my debut film. It was a pleasurable experience because they were so disciplined and well behaved and really good actors, which surprised me even though I am supposed to be the surprise package in the film. Ha!

Why aren't we seeing much of Ameesha Patel now-a-days on the big screen?
Because I've chosen to work only on TPTM after Bhool Bhulaiyaa and now as I've finished with this film, I am working on two other projects - Chatur Singh Two star with Sanjay Dutt and Do Lucky with Tusshar Kapoor. I want to do less but concentrated work, so I can really give my everything to the role.

Reliance in talks with Steven Spielberg

Reliance Big Entertainment, the media and entertainment arm of the $100 billion Reliance Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group (ADAG) and Steven Spielberg and the founders of the DreamWorks studio are in talks to financing their new film venture , according to Financial Times report.

Indian conglomerate Reliance Big Entertainment will be investing up to $ 600 million in a new company headed by Dreamworks’ Steven Spielberg, maker of some of the biggest Hollywood epics in history. The new company is expected to have funds of up to $1.5bn including debt and equity.

The plans include financing up to a dozen films by top Hollywood talent such as Jim Carrey, George Clooney, Tom Hanks and Brad Pitt, and buying theaters and exhibition properties across the US and elsewhere in the world.

A tie-up between the two would plough Indian money into Hollywood and bring in its best practices to Bollywood.

Rani Mukherjee wants Shah Rukh Khan again ???

Rani Mukerji’s last few films — Laaga Chunari Mein Daag, Tara Rum Pum and Saawariya — did not set the box office on fire and now the actor is banking on her angel avatar in Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic to end the box-office drought.

“I can vouch for the fact that being an angel is a hard task and portraying one on the screen is no easy job. For instance, even during sad moments, crying is not an angel’s forte. It was a challenging role in more than one way.

There were a lot of action sequences and director Kunal Kohli made me do some gravity defying stunts that reminded me of Hrithik Roshan’s Krrish act. Imagine being hooked to a harness mid-air. But the air up there is much more refreshing,” she said with a smile.

The angel angle certainly reminds us of City of Angels and Mary Poppins but Rani brushes off the comparisons. “Thoda… has an Indian feel to it. To describe it in a few words, I’d say, it is a blend of the fantasy element with the real world.

It does not have the Tara Rum Pum hangover either, the only common link is the Saif-Rani jodi, and the similarity ends there. This is my third film with Saif, and I feel, we have evolved as actors since Hum Tum. There are four kids in the film and two of them were facing the camera for the first time and it was amazing to see how well they adapted to the entire situation.

My last two films, Laaga Chunari Mein Daag and Saawariya were of the serious sort and the role required a certain amount of maturity but this film has been quite a different journey. It gave me a chance to relive many of my childhood moments and fantasies.”

Moving to her next project, she says, “In July, I will start working on debutant director Anurag Singh’s film with Shahid Kapoor. I play a cricketer in the film, so right now I am busy learning the tricks of the game.”

As for something exciting on the cards with her favourite co-star, Shah Rukh Khan, she adds, “It’s been a couple of years since Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna happened and I am hoping something nice with Shah Rukh will soon come across and of course I will grab the offer.”

While things are usually bright on the work front, Rani’s personal life is bogged down with controversies, mainly her alleged relationship with filmmaker Aditya Chopra. “Every other day a controversy, which has no truth to it, is created about me. And the false news spreads like wild fire. I have a busy schedule and it is not possible to come up with clarifications every time, I just hope there will be a full stop to all of this someday,” she rues.

INDIAN BILLIONAIRE Anil Ambani is planning to join hands with the Hollywood director Steven Spielberg for a $600 million venture.

According to the Wall Street Journal (WSJ), the Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group (ADAG) is reportedly in talks with Steven Spielberg’s DreamWorks SKG to form a joint venture that would help Spielberg finance his exit from Viacom’s Paramount Pictures later this year.

ADAG would be giving DreamWorks as much as $600 mn and another $500 mn may be raised by DreamWorks through debt financing. Collectively they plan to make six films per year and distribute it through a Hollywood studio.

Ambani, is the sixth richest man in the world according to Forbes. The group purchased Adlabs Films Ltd., an film producing, distributing and exhibiting company in June, 2005. Adlabs Films produces Hindi language movies. There has been decline in the business according to sources.

Ambani also operates India’s second-biggest wireless company Reliance Communications Ltd., the nation’s third-biggest utility by market value Reliance Infrastructure Ltd. and financial services provider Reliance Capital Ltd.

to Paramount. According to sources, Spielberg’s team has the rights to retain the DreamWorks name if the Paramount deal ends.

ADAG’s entertainment division, Reliance Big Entertainment, announced a slate of investments in Hollywood projects last month at the Cannes Film Festival. These included providing finances to a handful of Hollywood’s top talent with production houses, like Jim Carrey, George Clooney, Tom Hanks and Brad Pitt. The company also plans to spend more than $1bn over the next 18 months on expansion in India and abroad.

Anil Ambani's Reliance ADA Group and Director Steven Spielberg close to signing $600 million movie deal

DreamWorks SKG, the Hollywood film studio, is close to signing a deal with one of India's biggest entertainment conglomerates to form a new movie venture.

A deal would give director Steven Spielberg, one of the three media moguls who formed DreamWorks in 1994, enough cash to finance his DreamWorks team's departure from Viacom’s Paramount Pictures later this year.

According to The Wall Street Journal, Reliance ADA Group, based in Mumbai and controlled by billionaire industrialist Anil Ambani, would provide Mr Spielberg and the company with between $500 million (£256 million) and $600 million in equity.

DreamWorks, whose films includes last year's Blades of Glory and Dreamgirls in 2006, would likely seek another $500 million worth of borrowings elsewhere to finance around six new films a year under the new venture.

Rani Mukherjee on kids, marriage, and some magic ???

Yes, for Rani Mukherjee, playing a fairy in her soon-to-be-released film Thoda Pyar... Thoda Magic (TPTM) is nothing short of magical. Especially as it requires her to fly in the sky and ride a cycle some 60-80 feet above ground!

Super excited about this one-of-its kind role that also likens her to Krrish, Rani shares, “It was very exciting to fly in the sky and see things from a bird’s eye and it’s a nice blend of fantasy and reality. The only difficult thing is that you have to get used to the harness and it can get tiring. Though actors are used to it, as they do action scenes, but for me it was quite an adventurous experience.”

And a change from the stereotypical ‘rona-dhona’ roles the actress had been doing of late. “I guess for the first time, I won’t use any glycerine for this angel’s character and you won’t see me crying for a single moment. I am smiling throughout the film and I enjoyed this happy-go-lucky role.”

Having shared screen space with two kids earlier in Tara Ram Pam , Rani says it was even more thrilling to work with four kids for this flick.

“I genuinely love kids so much. They have great energy in them, which is so contagious that we also start jumping and play around while shooting on the sets. But when it’s work, they are so professional, well behaved and disciplined that even we were shocked.”

Ask her how she related herself with these kids and pat comes a reply, “The way they eat! This was the only point where I could identify myself with them. Right from ice-cream to chips to all that so-called forbidden junk food I ate all on the sets. And honestly, I must have put on some 3 kgs but there is no wish to add more!”

Stating that she was a very sincere and well behaved child, we asked Rani how she would want ‘her’ kids to be like and here’s what she had to say.

“Oh dear, it’s a long way for that. I still have to find a guy to date and then I’ll see whether I want to marry him or not. After marrying, we’ll plan whether to have kids or not. Once they grow up and if they are tall, beautiful, then we’ll decide whether have the talent to be actors.” Some plan you have there, Rani!

Sachin Khot Director of UAP says, “This is not true. We have seen the film on the editing table and we don’t think we need to re shoot anything. UAP has shaped up pretty well so there’s no reason for her to be upset. I am busy in some promotion plans and will start promotions soon.”

However this is not new in Mallika’s case as she has always been in the limelight for all the wrong reasons. It can recalled that Mallika told her producer of Fauj Mein Mauj to re shoot the movie when it was 70 per cent complete.

Bollywood’s popular love story of Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan was all set for wedding but now there is news of break-up between this couple. Many times there was a rumour that both of them are separated from each other but every time they clear to the world that there is not anything wrong between them and they are still together but now again some kind of cold war between two of them is in news.

As per the reporters Saif was angry with Kareena Kapoor to see her in dress which is exposing her zero size figure for the IIFA 2008 performance. The problem started between two of them in the van and Saif don’t like Kareena outfit for performance and he was so upset that he didn’t even try to hear Kareena.

He came out from the car and don’t bother Bebo’s request of staying back. Even when Kareena was performing in the IIFA function, Saif was unhappy. Unfortunately, the Saifeena couple who had publicly announced their togetherness at the Lakme Fashion Week last October, sent out all the wrong signals at IIFA. He had Manish Malhotra do a rather Indian outfit for her. So, while others like Katrina and Dia Mirza were at their smouldering dress, Kareena’s elaborate dress spoilt the magic for her. Close sources also say that the lack of time together is the culprit for the misunderstanding between the two.

Who is the actual Shahrukh Khan - an actor, a businessman, a father or a husband? Even I don’t know who the actual Shahrukh is as because I spend most of my time portraying different characters. Most of the time we play such characters who are much superior from any point of view. But there is one common factor in each of the character I play and that factor is emotion. It’s impossible to depict a true sketch of a character without proper emotion.But, when I stay at home I show my true emotions as a father and a husband. And I don’t know how much truth I can maintain while talking about my role of a father outside my home.
Where do you find yourself at the best of your professional graph - as a host or as an actor?
Whether it’s in acting or hosting a show, success stays with me for very short period of time. I feel reaching height only when I make my cameraman or director astonished with the best of my performance. I feel really happy when all those shots reach the remote areas of the country and people feel them from the core of their hearts.
What did your teachers think about when you were in school?

I used to be very mischievous in school but teachers always forgave me seeing the beautiful dimples. That’s how my smile was famously known as the Satan’s smile. Despite being so naughty I was the monitor of my class because I always topped in the class. Reading less was enough for me to bag best numbers. I had interest in everything other than learning.
Any memorable incident of those days?
I still can remember that my few friends, including me, were doing masti because of which all of those friends were suspended from the school. My absence from the school on that very day saved me from suspension. The five of us were the best buddies in school. We later on decided to beg pardon from the principal. All my friends were very jealous of me as I was not suspended. I agreed on going with them to the principal and told them that everything would be alright. We went to meet the principal. He was quite friendly with me and that day also he started talking to me very generously which my friends could not accept. All of a sudden they started revealing my tomfooleries one after the other. The aftermath was very obvious. Along with my friends, the principal suspended me also. Still I can remember all those four friends.

With your KBC you offered people an amount of two crores and the amount has reached to five crores with your on going show Paanchvi Pass… What was your first income?
If I am not wrong then my first income was just fifty rupees. There was Sri Ram centre beside my home. Even Film Fare Awards ceremonies were held at the centre. Once there was the concert of Ghulam Ali Sahab at that centre. I volunteered in the show and earned fifty bucks for that. I took my friends to visit Taj Mahal with that amount.

What do excite your children most?
They feel excitement in all those things that excites me. They are all very excited with what their father does.
What do you think of education?
All throughout my life I have believed that there is nothing more important than education. But the same education sometimes brings in tension and creates lot of problems. Today people stress more on becoming first than learning something. When I hear the cut off marks for colleges now-a-days, I get traumatized thinking that was I a student at this time, I would never have reached college though I passed my tenth with 92%. I think about how to make today’s generation realize to go ahead despite having all the pressures from education and job. I want an environment where children themselves wish to go to school. I would request all the schools not to create pressure on children for education.

The premiere of ‘S*x and the City’ on June 4, 2008, held at PVR, Juhu, Mumbai, witnessed the presence of several Bollywood stars. There was an array of celebs present there, all in groups, to watch the premiere. Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor are in the lead roles in this movie Mr and Mrs Khanna . Earlier it was thought that Priyanka or Deepika would feature in this movie. But later on it was decided that Kareena is perfect.

Mr and Mrs Khanna marks the debut of Prem Soni as a director. He is responsible for bringing Kareena and Salman together. Soni played the mediator and convinced Salman and Kareena to do his film.

Salman and Kareena weren't on talking terms for a long time. The situation got awkward between them after the Rockstar Concert happened in 2006. Shahid Kapoor - who was Kareena's boyfriend then - was a part of the concert along with Salman.

During the concert, Shahid tried to teach Salman a few dance steps. Salman, who is otherwise known for being an amiable person, did not take this too well as he expected Shahid to respect him for his seniority.

After that incident, Salman and Shahid had serious differences.Salman has enough experience about performing live on stage. As he is a senior actor, he did not like Shahid trying to teach him to dance. This incident put Kareena in a tricky situation as Salman was Kareena and her sister Karishma's good friend. Emraan Hashmi in Action!!, John Abraham - Water way to go

Post the super success of their last film, JANNAT, the team of Vishesh Films and their in-house hero Emraan Hashmi have already moved on to their next.

The queen of hills, Shimla, welcomed the hit pair of Emraan Hashmi and Kangna Ranaut (GANGSTER), who is at present in Himachal capital to shoot for RAAZ 2. The Himachal portion of the much talked about sequel to the super hit, Vikram Bhatt’s RAAZ (which starred Bipasha Basu and Dino Morea) commenced in the picturesque town of Shimla and its beautiful surroundings.

The local girl, Kangna Ranaut (she is from Manali), appeared to be at home and looked really happy to be back in her home state. On Friday, the lead pair shot for various scenes (mostly horror/emotional) at the famous British Resort. On Saturday, director Mohit Suri picturised a few romantic scenes, the location being the picturesque Naldehra and its world famous golf course. Kangna and Emraan intermingled freely with the tourists obliging them with autographs.The unit will stay on for a few more days before moving on to Kangna’s home town, Manali.

John Abraham is a busy man. Off late, he’s been shooting round the clock, both in India and abroad. Then, he took to the mike for an event last week and showed off his singing skills. And just the other evening, he took time off from his schedule to come inaugurate Namita Kulkarni’s exhibition.
