Katrina Kaif - I don’t want to work with Salman !!!

Salman and Katrina’s romance was going through a rough patch already as the actor, reportedly, had objections to the lady’s choice of films and her co-stars, and now the beau’s spat with Shah Rukh khan has given a final blow to their relationship.

Industry sources say Katrina is in no mood to forgive Salman for his behaviour at the actress’ birthday bash which received unwanted media attention. Reports reveal that after the actor’s fight with the King Khan, Sallu has been trying really hard to woo Katrina and get the love story back on track.

But Katrina has got so irritated over his flattering attempts that she has stopped talking to him. A well-placed source has revealed, “Katrina is blaming Salman for the entire episode. The lady believes that Salman, being the host of the evening (at her birthday), could have handled the situation more sensibly.” Katrina seems to have grown over Sallu as the actress recently said that she doesn’t want to work with the actor anymore. The lady, however, justified her statement saying that she would now like to be paired with actors of her age.

So after the Priyanka-Harman break-up rumours, grapevine has it that one of the hottest couple in Bollywood, Salman and Katrina, is heading for splitsville. Poor Sallu seems to be losing his love yet again!

We, ofcourse, wish the pair all the luck…

Salman-Katrina splitting wide open

The last straw was probably his behavior at her birthday party recently when Salman Khan initiated a fight between him and guest Shah Rukh Khan that nearly came to blows. The sources said that after the incident Salman and Katrina are not on talking terms. “Katrina is blaming Salman for the entire episode,” said a common friend.

Katrina was of the opinion that Salman should have restrained himself as he was playing the host. “But certain things are not in anyone’s control and it is destined to happen,” Katrina said in an interview. A close friend of Salman said: “He is good at heart. He took initiative for the party to please Katrina. But everything went wrong.” Industry insiders have been talking about the cooling off of this relationship for some months now. The on-off affair has already toned down to a mere friendship, according to their close friends.

Salman has ruined his future with Katrina by his drinking habits and also his hang-up for ex-girlfriend Aishwarya Rai. Katrina is concentrating on her professional life, which is going great guns. She has also stopped taking Salman’s advice in her career and that has soured relationship between the two.The SRK- Salman spat at the birthday party must have hit the nail in the coffin.

Shah Rukh Khan & Salman Khan, Bull fight ???

The birthday bash of beautiful Katrina Kaif turned into ugly star war between two big Khans of Bollywood. The war between Salman and Shan Rukh Khan dates back to 2003 when Salman had barged on the sets of SRK’s film ‘Chalte Chalte’ in order to forcibly meet Aishwarya Rai. The two eventually made up by the end of 2004 at the pre-marriage ceremony of Farah Khan.

If sources are to be believed, Salman kept throwing verbal blows on SRK from the moment latter arrived referring to their reality shows ‘Kya Aap Panchvi Paas Se Tej Hain’ and ‘Dus Ka Dum’ claiming that his show had fared much better. Initially Shah Rukh took things in a stride but as the party progressed, the fight grew bitter and serious.

Sources are quoted as saying that the two stars looked like they would come to blows. Thankfully, people at the party, chiefly Aamir, Katrina and Gauri, intervened and tried to cool things between the two stars. Eventually, SRK left the party in a huff with wife Gauri.

Both the stars have their supporters in the industry. Where Kareena Kapoor, Akshay Khanna, Ranbir Kapoor, Fardeen and Zayed Khan called up Salman to express their sympathy, veterans like Yash Chopra and Javed Akhtar called Shah Rukh to enquire about the incident. Besides, Karan Johar, Sajid Khan and Farhan Akhtar are also in the SRK camp.

Preeti Jhangiani - I can do intimate scenes !!!

Preeti Jhangiani (TOI Photo)
Actor Preeti Jhangiani had made her debut with Mohabbatein and it was an unusual debut with Preeti playing the role of a young widow who has a second chance at love.

“Yes, Mohabbatein is the movie that I am still remembered for. I remember practicing classical dance for eight months to play my character convincing in the movie,” she recalls. And now Preeti is enjoying her ‘newly married’ status.

In town for an inauguration and launch of an outlet of a nationwide chain of restaurants, Preeti says, “Being married is a wonderful feeling.

I’m enjoying it thoroughly. Though we could just spend a month together as I had to go to the US, we had a lovely time soaking in the ‘we are married’ feeling. We are spending as much time as possible together and making the most of it.”

And she makes it very clear at the onset that “marriage has not meant an end to my career or goals. My husband (actor Parvin Dabas) understands that movies are on my agenda and thankfully, I have a new project on hand.”

She goes on to reveal that while their honeymoon was spent in the US where she had some work to attend to, she would like to take a holiday with Parvin to “Miami and Bali as it is my dream
destination.”

Preeti considers Smita Patil and Shabana Azmi to be her role models and says, “I am open to all kind of roles as long as the script is interesting. It doesn’t matter if it is a big banner production or not. I am also not choosy about who my co-star is. The main hero of the film is the script.”

We hope directors are reading this interview, for Preeti also makes it clear that she’s comfortable doing “intimate scenes as it is a part and parcel of my work. My husband has no issues about it as well.”

As she digs into some food, she says, “I am a pure non-vegetarian. But I also have a fondness for traditional Gujarati food as I have got many Gujarati friends. I simply love methi theplas.”

Saifeena Kapoor Khan - Saifeena to set the stage on fire

Spicezee Bureau

Mumbai, July 08: Forget movies or Box Office rankings, this summer the B-town is engaged in an all new ball game that is much bigger and fiercer than any other battle ever as it involves live performances leaving no scope for an error.

Yes, it’s the live stage shows that have gripped Bollywood and now there are not two but three big troops competing for the top spot. Care to guess who has just got ‘tempted’ to join this ‘unforgettable’ rat race.

Well, it’s Saifeena Kapoor Khan. The much in love couple Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor are all set to take the world by storm as they design their own stage show.

According to reports the couple has been roped in by the Moranis for the couple’s first show together in Dubai next month. Going by the two’s mass fan following that increases manifold when they come together organisers are all set to cash upon the real life sparks between the two love birds.

All we can say is that the competitions is surely getting tougher as the Bollywood big daddies fight it out for the most ‘unforgettable’ stage show.

Flavour of this season – Saifeena

They're certainly hard to forget, and they're pretty and tempting too.

While the Bachchans and SRK fight it out with the The Unforgettables Tour and the Temptations Tour, Bollywood's newest it couple is ready to woo the world with their own stage show.

Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor have been roped in by the Moranis for the couple's maiden show together in Dubai early next month. "Saif and Kareena are the flavour of this season, and this is the perfect opportunity to showcase their chemistry.

That is why, early next month; we are taking them to Dubai. The date has not been confirmed yet, but it is certain that they are going to perform," says our source from Cineyug, the company owned by Mohomed Morani. Will the third party be the most rocking one? Let's wait and watch!

Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na - scores over Love Story

Helped by a good response from young movie-goers, Aamir Khan Productions and PVR Cinemas’ co-production Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na has scored over its costlier rival Harry Baweja’s sci-fi flick Love Story 2050 in the first three crucial days. The Imran Khan-starrer Jaane Tu... earned an estimated Rs 20 crore in its first weekend. The producers now plan to add an additional 150 prints, buoyed by the film’s success.

Jaane Tu... was made with a modest budget of Rs 10 crore and was released with about 450 prints. Says Aamir Khan: “It has seen an overwhelming response not just in metros but smaller cities too.

Even on Monday, we haven’t seen any drop in collections or occupancy levels. We plan to increase the number of shows and prints as the demand has seen a huge surge from exhibitors.”

IT'S the frivolity of the tale that does it in. Yes, Jaane Tu...could actually have been paisa vasool fare with it's coming-of-age tale of two college friends who discover they can be lovers too. In fact, the film has its moments: great restraint, some funny sit-com, a pleasant and youthful lead pair (Imran-Genelia), peppy music (AR Rahman) and riveting cameos by the character actors. But the kahani mein twist is so silly, it makes you want to cry over all the spilt milk.

Jai Rathore (Imran) is a polite, peace-loving, almost cowardly Rajput who doesn't take offence even when he is humiliated by best friend Genelia's brother (an interesting debut by Prateik Babbar). His mom (Ratna Pathak Shah) loves him this way and has specially brought him up to be placid and pliant, to protect him from his violent family history. But deceased dad Naseeruddin Shah, who talks from a photo frame, knows his son will reclaim family legacy and become a true Rajput someday. He does, and manages to win his girl friend too who dreams of a beau who will beat up all the guys who trouble her.

The film works well in the first half, where the archetypal college group prepares itself for life after college. Everyone thinks Jai and Aditi (Genelia) will end up happily-ever-after, except Jai and Aditi. They spend half of the film proving everybody wrong by finding a suitable match for each other. That's the fun part. And then, spend the other half, trying to come to terms with their more-than-friends feelings for each other. That's the unfunny part, especially since it is too prolonged.

Although it has a similar story-line, this one isn't in league with the Shahid Kapoor-Amrita Rao film, Ishq Vishq or Karan Johar's iconic Kuch Kuch Hota Hai . A word about Imran Khan: he begins on unsure footing and gradually slips into the role of Mr Nice Guy with consummate ease. Watch out for a great act by Ratna Pathak Shah as the new age mom and Naseeruddin Shah, as the dancing dead thakur who's left waiting for a certain Mr Godot, in the end!

Kareena Kapoor - with Laila in Yash Raj Film’s next production

Kareena is all set to be seen in an altogether different avtar for Yash Raj Film’s next production. Soon she would be heard as Laila and the film which would be giving her this platform is ROADSIDE ROMEO.

ROADSIDE ROMEO - Well, that’s the first ever animation outing for YRF where Kareena along with Saif Ali Khan would be giving a voiceover for the dogs. In fact it is going to be a Kareena v/s Kareena outing since ROADSIDE ROMEO would be arriving on the same day (i.e. 24th October) as GOLMAAL RETURNS in which she plays one of the leading ladies.

Though the first look of ROADSIDE ROMEO (featuring Saif Ali Khan’s voice) was revealed months back when this Jugal Hansraj film was slated for Summer 2008 release, a delay to Diwali has resulted in the makers arriving with a new promo with Kareena in focus this time around. As Laila, the female dog who comes to give an audition for a heroine’s role, Kareena gets the right ‘ada’ in place to demonstrate the naughty-yet-smart streak.

She doesn’t just tease the casting director with her monosyllabic yet confident replies; she also intimidates him with her smartness. Not just that, she also flutters her eyelashes when the right time arrives and gives a lot more than just a simple message when the director probes deeper into skills. How exactly? Well, she just replies that she knows ‘everything - just about everything’!

Paving a way for far more interesting things to come as the film arrives in entirety; the special promo of ROADSIDE ROMEO arrives along with the just released DVDs of TASHAN and is also expected to be plugged along with the prints of BACHNA AE HASEENO.

ROADSIDE ROMEO is slated to be the biggest animation movie ever coming from the house of Yash Raj Films with music by Salim-Sulaiman. The other star attraction of the film is Javed Jaffrey who also gives a voiceover for a dog.

Imran Khan - Evryone even celebrities love him ???

Really? this is amazing, we can't WAIT TO CATCH THE FILM BACK TO BACK and make our crticial revies here in Tinsel Gurus.

Imran Khan who makes his debut in Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na, is overwhelmed at the response the promos and reaction of people that he gets, it seems to unnerve the rooted guy.

Says Imran Khan, “I feel very odd when people come and ask me for autographs or want to take pictures with me. I have lived for the past 25 years being just another guy so it overwhelms me when suddenly I get recognised.

It’s new and I’m still getting used to it.” Get used to it dude, enjoy your new stardom as long as it last!

We gave you exclusive pics to the premiere, now watch the video. THIS IS by far GLAMOUROUS. Almost every one from the film fertinity is present.

Imran Khan’s mother Nuzhat too in ‘Jaane Tu…Ya Jaane Na’

Jaane Tu…Ya Jaane Na starring Aamir khan’s nephew Imran Khan and Genelia , Co-produced by Aamir Khan and his uncle, Mansoor Khan. Imran’s mother, Nuzhat, also has a role in the movie — that of costume designer! Co-designing the look of the film’s cast is Ashley Rebello. He decided to walk us through the costumes:

I took up Jaane Tu because I am very close to Nuzhat. We had designed the costumes in Josh, directed by Mansoor Khan. In fact, I started my career with Mansoor in Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander. So when he offered Jaane Tu to me, I said yes.

The briefing I got for the movie from (director) Abbas Tyrewala and Mansoor was that this film is about young college kids. Abbas told me that he did not want the colour blue on any of the costumes. But I convinced him that this was impossible as college-going kids wear a lot of blue denims.

Saif Ali Khan - Kareena Kapoor marriage will happen real soon ???

Wedding bells may not be that far away for actors Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor as the two are contemplating marriage sooner than the three-four-year target they had set earlier.”Oh yes, much sooner. In fact, people may be hearing an announcement from us very soon. If I had my way, I’d marry her today right here in London where she’s joined me,” Saif said.”Yes, I’m ready to make it legal any time.
In any case, aren’t we supposed to have gone through a secret Muslim marriage?” he says sarcastically about certain media reports.

Saif was married to Amrita Singh and after 13 years of marriage and two children, the couple separated in 2004. After he divorced Amrita, he dated Italian model Rosa Catalano, but broke up with her in 2007.

The romance between Saif and Kareena took off on the sets of “Tashan”. And Saif has never sounded so fiercely committed.

“If I’m sounding that way, it’s because that’s how I feel. With due respects to all the other relationships in life, after my marriage to Amrita and my two kids, this is the most important relationship I’ve had.”

Saif can barely contain his anxiety and eagerness to do the right thing.

“Of course, I’m anxious. You must understand this is the most important part of my life… so much so that at times I find even my career taking a backseat to my relationship. I’ve to guard against that. I must quickly learn to separate the professional from the personal.”

Saif admits it would take his children Sarah and Ibrahim a while to get used to the changes in their dad’s life.

“I’m not going to pretend that my children, Kareena and I have become one big family. They’re intelligent kids with a mind of their own. Sarah is in fact 13 and a lady herself. It would be quite a while before they are fully comfortable with the change in my life.

“They haven’t spent that much time with Kareena to know her as well as I do. But the good thing is everyone close to me realises that this relationship is for keeps, that I’ve never been more serious. Now it’s entirely up to me and Kareena to take the relationship to the next level.”

Saif is upset with reports that he has lately been crowding his ladylove with his attentions.

“Of course, I want to be with her as much as I can. My regret is we can’t be together more often. We are uncannily similar people and I’ve only now begun to understand why I need to be with her constantly. She complements me, as I hope I complement her. So of course, I try to be where she is.”

He dislikes people intruding into his personal life and says: “I understand people want to put our relationship under a microscope. They want to know about our relationship. But there’s only so much that they can know or perceive. What Kareena and I feel for each other, only the two of us know.”

Wedding bells may not be that far away for actors Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor as the two are contemplating marriage sooner than the three-four-year target they had set earlier. “Oh yes, much sooner.

In fact, people may be hearing an announcement from us very soon. Kareena Kapoor meets Saif Ali Khan’s parents

Despite rumour mills suggesting that Bebo is feeling claustrophobic and smothered by Saifs’ obsession with her, their relationship seems to be getting stronger by the day. Last week, while Kareena was visiting Saif on the sets of his first production unit in London, Kareena bonded big time with Saif’s parents there. Says a member of Saif’s production unit, “Kareena looked after Saif’s parents like her own. It was quite evident that her move was not a deliberate attempt to win over Saif’s parents, or impress Saif. When she feels affectionate towards people, she gives unconditionally.” Kareena is unarguably Saif’s first lady-love whom his parents have taken to so wholeheartedly.

Our source from London adds, “Kareena has always been extremely affectionate and warm. So it did not come as a surprise that she bonded with Saif’s parents well and they in turn reciprocated her warmth a gesture that they never showed with any of Saif’s earlier companions.” When we contacted Saif who is in London, he said, “It’s true that my parents met Kareena in London and they got along like a house on fire. My parents adore her irrespective of her achievements as an actress.”

What Saif leaves unsaid is that his parents had disapproved of his earlier relationships.“But they adore Kareena,” he says a tad wistfully from London. “My dad thinks she’s lovely. That makes two of us,” he adds. With sanctions from Saif’s parents, all that the couple needs is an approval from Kareena’s parents, a process that he has already initiated.

Kareena Kapoor-Harman break the ice

Debutant actor Harman Baweja, who is foraying into the film world with the much talked about futuristic film “Love Story 2050?, says he has sorted out his problems with Kareena Kapoor created by fabricated remarks. The actor says he was shocked and embarrassed after reading reports about him making uncharitable remarks about Kareena. The remarks attributed to him about Kareena being ‘robotic’ in her performances had upset Harman.

“I’d never speak like that about anyone, least of all someone who is a senior (colleague) and was gracious enough to work with me when I was just starting out. That she finally opted out of ‘Love Story 2050? doesn’t take away from the fact that we got along really well,” Harman, who has teamed up with Priyanka Chopra in the film, ent earlier this week. On an impulse he sent an SMS to Kareena, telling her how awful the words attributed to him about her made him feel. Kareena, who is in the US shooting for Sajid Nadiadwala’s “Kambhakt Ishq”, apparently replied back in a long heartfelt message, saying she has been a part of the film industry long enough to know how such things work.

She is also said to have ended her message by assuring Harman she had no ill feelings towards him and was looking forward to seeing his film that releases Friday.Harman is relieved and overjoyed that the matter has been sorted out. “All I’ll say is I’d never talk like that about anyone. Kareena is someone I truly admire. And if people want to spoil my relations with her, let them try. It won’t work.”
